To retrieve, analyze and summarize data/reports to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and predict business outcomes. Offer hedging solutions for the grains, we are long.About the RoleWork with suppliers, analysts, on views of the market by advocating for trading positions, using analytic data. Conduct technical analysis requiring a deep understanding of the commodities or markets.Responsibilities75%: Develop Market Intelligence, hedging strategy and correlate the same with the Fundamental analysis.Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to establish purchasing strategies and contracts.Understanding of futures markets and ability to hedge on the same.20%: Develop long-range purchasing plans and strategies using a proactive approach.Manage and aggressively identify opportunities to optimize and mitigate risk within the supply chain.5%: Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Sales on risks and costs evolution associated with all key functions to optimize pricing and contribution margin.Responsible for aligning overall team resources to execute against short term and long-term strategies and meeting strategic sourcing and location/plant/BU objectives.Provides overall guidance and procurement work expertise to the team.Accountable for talent development, succession planning and engagement of team.Ensure that the company HSE policies & procedures are fully followed.Understand, reflect & practice IFFCO’s vision & values.QualificationsGraduate in Agriculture related discipline.MBA Preferred.Required Skills8 – 10 years’ experience in trading, merchandising.Strong negotiation skills and ability to leverage purchasing opportunities across a large and complex organization.Technical knowledge and experience purchasing and / or selling commodities.Preferred SkillsAnalytical Ability.Business Acumen – Financial and Commercial.Communicating effectively.Customer Centricity.Knowledge of micro and macro-economic indicators.Ownership & Result Orientation.Planning & Decision Making.Project Management.Self and Team Management.Supply Chain Management Principles.Trading opportunity identification.Expected travel: Up to 20% travel – to conferences, supplier events and locations.We are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.
