The individual in this position will provide high-quality instruction in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses, including classroom, clinical, and simulation-based teaching. Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and updating nursing curricula; mentoring and advising students; supervising clinical rotations; and supporting students’ professional growth. The role also involves conducting scholarly research, securing external funding when possible, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations. The professor will participate in academic committees, contribute to accreditation and assessment activities, collaborate with colleagues and clinical partners, and engage in service to the College of Nursing, the university, and the broader community.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Nursing practice and Nursing Education, with the ability to integrate evidence-based practice into teaching and mentoring.Experience in Curriculum Development for nursing programs, including course design, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.Clinical proficiency in Pediatrics and Medicine or other relevant nursing specialties that support the College of Nursing’s program offerings.Earned doctorate in Nursing or a closely related field from an accredited institution (required for appointment at Associate or Full Professor rank).Current or eligible RN licensure in the state of Florida, with a record of progressive academic or clinical leadership.Evidence of scholarly productivity, such as peer-reviewed publications, presentations, grants, or other research activities.Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting a diverse student body.Experience with simulation, online or hybrid instruction, and educational technology in nursing education is highly desirable.
