The team leverages automated testing, advanced analytics, and modern technologies to identify issues early and continuously improve product performance and reliability.About the RoleWe are looking for an Associate Principal Hardware & Software Test Engineer to lead and drive product-level testing and quality initiatives across both hardware and software.The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying product issues during early development stages, analysing product quality data, developing test strategies and specifications, and improving testing methodologies through data analytics and automation.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage early-stage (Alpha) testing initiatives to identify product issues and assess product performance in real-world conditions.Validate laboratory test outcomes against product design and quality requirements.Analyse in-life product quality and other data streams to generate actionable insights.Build and maintain quality dashboards that provide early indicators of both hardware and software quality.Develop robust product-level test specifications and perform detailed product requirement analysis.Ensure test specifications are accurate and aligned with key development milestones, supporting teams from concept through production and post-launch.Drive innovation in testing methodologies, including the application of AI/ML and advanced data analytics, to improve detection reliability and test efficiency.Act as a technical authority within the Test & QA function and collaborate with Development, Operations, Quality, and Design teams.Integrate effective testing processes throughout the product development lifecycle.Report test progress and product quality status to senior stakeholders and ensure clear communication across teams.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 7 years of relevant experience in product quality, hardware/software testing, or related areas.Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis.Hands-on experience with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data processing.Experience using Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly for data visualisation and automated quality reporting.Experience building automated dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience querying complex datasets.Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift.Strong understanding of electronics hardware and hardware-software interfacing.Knowledge of software architecture in IoT products, including Embedded Systems, Mobile Applications, Cloud, and Machine Learning.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple product deliverables and schedules simultaneously.
