The individual in this role will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop curricula and course materials, and supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations. Daily responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and seeking external research funding. The Associate Professor will participate in academic committees, contribute to departmental governance, and engage in academic advising and mentoring. Additional duties may involve collaboration with affiliated hospitals or research centers, as well as participation in community and professional outreach activities aligned with the university’s mission.Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant medical, health sciences, or related discipline.Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, with a record of effective instruction and curriculum development.Established research portfolio with peer-reviewed publications and evidence of ongoing scholarly activity.Experience supervising student research and mentoring learners from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an asset.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contribute to departmental service, and engage in interdisciplinary initiatives.Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive educational practices, and continuous professional development.Prior experience in clinical, laboratory, or community-based research settings is beneficial.
