Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating course materials, guiding students in clinical skills, mentoring junior faculty and trainees, and participating in academic advising. The role involves active engagement in research, scholarly publications, and participation in departmental and hospital committees to support curriculum development and quality improvement. The Associate Professor will also contribute to patient care within their specialty, modeling best clinical practices and interprofessional collaboration. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital in Dera Ismāīl Khān.Qualifications Relevant medical degree and completed specialty training, with eligibility for registration or licensure as required by local regulatory authorities.Prior academic experience at lecturer, assistant professor, or equivalent level, demonstrating effective teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development.Established record of clinical competence in a recognized medical specialty, with commitment to high-quality, ethical patient care.Evidence of research activity, such as peer-reviewed publications, presentations, or involvement in clinical or educational research projects.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.Ability to contribute to academic administration, quality assurance processes, and departmental planning initiatives.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment and to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Familiarity with modern teaching methods, including use of digital tools, simulation, and outcome-based education, is highly beneficial.
