The Associate Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and update curricula, and design assessments that align with program outcomes. The role includes conducting and publishing research, supervising student theses or projects, and participating in academic advising and mentoring. The Associate Professor will collaborate with colleagues on departmental initiatives, contribute to committee work, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes. Engagement in seminars, workshops, conferences, and outreach activities to enhance the university’s academic profile is also expected.Qualifications Advanced academic qualifications, typically a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline, from an accredited institution.Demonstrated teaching excellence at the university level, including experience in course design, assessment, and use of innovative, student-centered teaching methods.Strong research profile with a record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and evidence of ongoing scholarly activity.Experience supervising undergraduate and/or postgraduate research projects and providing academic advising and mentorship.Ability to contribute to curriculum development, program review, and accreditation or quality assurance processes.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work constructively in diverse, multidisciplinary academic teams.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and support for diverse learners.Familiarity with digital tools and learning management systems to support teaching, assessment, and student engagement.Prior experience in a higher education institution, especially in roles involving committee work, administrative responsibilities, or academic leadership, is an advantage.Willingness to engage in professional development, community outreach, and initiatives that enhance the university’s local and international standing.
