Associate professor in Finance

Role Description The Associate Professor in Finance will deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in finance and related disciplines to undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities include designing and updating course syllabi, developing teaching materials, supervising student research projects and theses, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The role requires active participation in scholarly research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to academic conferences and professional communities. The Associate Professor will also engage in departmental service, curriculum development, accreditation activities, and collaboration with industry partners where relevant. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach core and advanced courses in these areas.Solid knowledge of Accounting principles and practices relevant to academic and professional contexts.Expertise in Economics, with capacity to integrate economic theory and policy analysis into finance-related teaching and research.Demonstrated Research skills, including designing studies, applying quantitative or qualitative methods, and publishing in reputable academic journals.Doctoral degree (PhD) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Prior university-level teaching experience with evidence of effective pedagogy and student engagement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Experience supervising graduate and undergraduate research, and contributing to curriculum development and academic program quality.Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives.Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) and industry experience in finance or related fields are considered an advantage.
