The associate professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including lectures, tutorials, and seminars, while maintaining up-to-date and engaging curricula. Daily responsibilities include mentoring learners, supervising academic projects and dissertations, conducting legal research, and contributing to publications and conferences. The role also involves preparing assessments, evaluating performance, providing constructive feedback, and participating in academic committees, accreditation processes, and institutional events. The associate professor is expected to contribute to academic planning, support continuous improvement in teaching practices, and uphold the institution’s standards of integrity and professionalism.QualificationsMinimum 10 Years ExperienceStrong foundation in core Law subjects, with advanced knowledge in Constitutional Law.Expertise in Criminal Law and ability to teach specialized courses in related areas.Proven experience in academic Research, including publications in recognized law journals.Demonstrated Teaching skills in higher education, using learner-centered and innovative pedagogies.Relevant advanced degree in Law (LL.M. required; Ph.D. in Law preferred) from an accredited institution.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.Commitment to ethical practice, academic integrity, and inclusive, gender-neutral teaching environments.Experience with curriculum development, academic mentoring, and participation in academic governance is an advantage.
