Associate Professor of Law

Chitkara University is seeking qualified candidate for Associate Professor position for Chitkara Law School.Role Overview:The Associate Professor will provide academic and research leadership to the Law School. They will teach, mentor faculty and students, drive quality and accreditation initiatives, and build strong industry and academic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Teach and mentor students in the areas of IPR, Technology Law, and Trade & Investment LawSet academic goals and lead academic and research initiatives for the Law SchoolBuild cohesive teams and foster a culture of academic excellenceUpgrade teaching-learning processes and pedagogyLead curriculum development and reviewSupport institutional quality assessment, compliance, and faculty developmentFacilitate accreditation and ranking processes with bodies such as NAAC and NIRFDevelop and sustain linkages with industry, legal practitioners, and academic institutionsGuide research, publications, and doctoral supervisionExperience:Minimum 8 years of overall work experience in legal education (Post Masters in LLM)Experience in facilitating accreditation and rankings (NAAC, NIRF)Specialization Required :IPRTechnology LawTrade & Investment LawEducational Qualifications: LLB + LLM + Ph.D in Law from a reputed university in India or abroadDesired Profile:A distinguished academician with notable academic achievementsProven leadership capabilities in setting academic goals and building high-performing teamsStrong network with industry and academiaEffective senior-level administrative skills, with expertise in curriculum design, quality assessment, compliance, and faculty developmentA vision to bring the Law School on par with the best in the worldGood to Have:NET qualification (enhances eligibility for teaching and research positions in law)
