SSON fosters a supportive culture where innovation in teaching and patient care is highly valued and nurtured.Role Description The Associate Professor / Professor in Nursing is a full-time, on-site position located in Bengaluru. The role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating classroom and clinical instruction for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students. Responsibilities include developing and updating curricula, supervising student research, mentoring learners, and contributing to academic governance and committee work. The faculty member is expected to engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conferences, and to collaborate with clinical partners to enhance practice-based learning. Additional duties include participating in accreditation processes, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities that support the institute’s mission.QualificationsStrong foundation in Nursing and Nursing Education, with the ability to teach and mentor students across levels.Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing, reviewing, and implementing nursing course content.Clinical and teaching expertise in Pediatrics and Medicine, with the capacity to integrate current evidence-based practice.Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., M.Sc. Nursing or Ph.D. in Nursing) and eligibility as per regulatory and university norms for Associate Professor / Professor rank.Demonstrated record of scholarly work such as research, publications, conference presentations, or funded projects.Effective communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical practice.Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage in institutional development, and contribute to community outreach.
