As an Associate Project Accountant, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs.  This opportunity will be located in our Chicago Office and could have potential to be partly hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.  Key ResponsibilitiesProject set up and maintenance (rate table, budgets, contract management)Ensure all invoices are recorded properly and timely to the correct projects, cost reports, and phase codesProcess AP vouchersAssist with AR cash collectionCreate accurate and timely project reportingInvestigate and resolve any discrepancies or issuesCost Analysis and Cost control (ownership and initiative for work performed)Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting0-2 years of experience in an accounting centric roleKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong analytical skills and problem solvingHave good to great organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office products and programsHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsHave good to great organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree(s)Experience within Engineering, commercial construction or a related industryWorking knowledge of construction accounting principlesExperience with subcontract agreements and lien waiversKnowledge of Deltek’s VantagePoint or Vision softwarePast accounting related internshipsBenefitsWe offer Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans401K, Paid Maternity Leave, Competitive PTOEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and moreSponsorship and relocation are not available for this opportunity.
