You will be involved in the generation of high-quality data to support research projects while further developing your technical and scientific skillset.You will join a team of highly motivated scientists and work in a collaborative environment focused on scientific rigor and impactful therapeutic innovation.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and curious scientist who enjoys laboratory work and is eager to grow within a drug discovery setting.This position is based in Leuven (Haasrode), with on-site presence required given the hands-on, experimental nature of laboratory work.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute biochemical and/or cellular biology experiments in support of drug discovery projects, following established protocols or study plans.Contribute to experimental design and planning in collaboration with more senior scientists.Accurately record, analyse, and report experimental data in a timely manner.Support troubleshooting and optimization of assays under supervision.Maintain high standards of data quality, reproducibility, and documentation in compliance with ELN practices.Assist in the interpretation of results and presentation of data to project teams.Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and productive lab environment.Support interactions with external partners and CROs where relevant.Key CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality experimental work.Ability to follow experimental plans and execute protocols accurately and efficiently.Developing ability to interpret data and understand experimental outcomes in a biological context.Eagerness to learn and build scientific understanding.Good organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day laboratory activities.Clear and concise communication of data and observations.Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with more experienced scientists.QualificationsProfessional Bachelor in Laboratorial techniques or bachelor's or master's degree in molecular biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.1+ years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research environments.Solid foundation in molecular and cellular biology techniques, with demonstrated hands-on experience in standard laboratory methods.Experience with mammalian cell culture is required; experience with primary cells or more complex cellular models is considered a strong advantage.Demonstrated ability to accurately execute experiments, document results, and follow established protocols.Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. GraphPad Prism or similar) is a plus.As we are an international group, strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for this role.Why Join the Team?You will be joining a highly motivated and experienced team of dynamic scientists and play a key role in advancing innovative therapies for women affected by endometriosis.
