Working within the Materials Science & Engineering (MS&E) team, you will contribute to scientific investigations that help solve complex material-related challenges and support the quality of pharmaceutical products across global sites.Role DescriptionAs an Associate Scientist (MS&E), you will perform hands-on laboratory investigations focused on material characterization, particle identification, and root cause analysis. Working with advanced analytical techniques, you will support global scientific projects involving drug products, packaging materials, and extraneous matter. This role is ideal for a laboratory scientist who enjoys analytical problem-solving, scientific investigations, and working in a research-driven environment rather than routine QC testing.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on materials characterization using techniques such as FTIR, Optical Microscopy, Raman, SEM-EDX, and mechanical testingInvestigate unknown materials, foreign particles, packaging defects, and product-related issuesExecute analytical experiments independently to support global Materials Science projectsConduct scientific root cause investigations and interpret analytical resultsPrepare clear technical investigation reports and present findings to internal stakeholdersSupport analytical laboratory activities across multiple international projectsCollaborate with colleagues across Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Technical OperationsEnsure accurate documentation and maintain high laboratory standardsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Materials Science, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific disciplineHands-on laboratory experience with material characterization and analytical techniquesExperience with FTIR and Optical Microscopy is essential; experience with Raman and SEM-EDX is highly desirableExperience performing scientific investigations and interpreting analytical resultsStrong technical writing skills with experience preparing investigation reportsCurious, analytical, and able to work independently after onboardingProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsFluent in English (written and spoken)
