Role DescriptionAs an Assortment Planning Assistant, you will support the planning, analysis, and maintenance of product assortments to ensure the right products are available across relevant categories and channels. You will work closely with merchandising, buying, inventory, sales, and operations teams to support assortment decisions and optimize product availability and business performance.Key responsibilities include:Assist with the development and maintenance of product assortment plans.Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, product trends, and category data to support assortment decisions.Maintain accurate product, category, pricing, and assortment information in relevant systems.Support product selection, range reviews, seasonal planning, product launches, and product discontinuations.Monitor product availability and identify assortment gaps, excess stock, or potential stock shortages.Prepare assortment reports, sales analysis, inventory summaries, and planning presentations.Assist in tracking product performance and identifying opportunities to improve assortment productivity.Coordinate with merchandising, buying, inventory, sales, and operations teams to ensure assortment plans are implemented accurately.Support promotional and seasonal assortment planning activities.Ensure product information, planning files, and assortment documentation are complete and up to date.Assist with data analysis and provide relevant insights to support commercial planning.Monitor assortment-related tasks and follow up on outstanding actions.Support process improvements to enhance planning accuracy, product availability, and operational efficiency.Perform other administrative and analytical duties related to assortment planning as required.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.Good understanding of retail, merchandising, product assortment, sales, and inventory concepts.Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret
