environments.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Athlete Performance Manager to lead integrated athlete performance programs across training, competition, recovery, monitoring, development, and performance optimization.The ideal candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary performance teams and establish evidence-based systems that help athletes achieve peak performance while managing workload, recovery, readiness, development, and long-term sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive athlete performance strategies aligned with sporting objectives.Establish performance frameworks covering training, competition, recovery, monitoring, development, and athlete support.Coordinate strength and conditioning, sports science, nutrition, psychology, medical, coaching, and performance-analysis functions.Develop individualized performance plans based on athlete needs, competitive schedules, performance objectives, and development stages.Coordinate athlete assessments covering physical, technical, tactical, physiological, psychological, and functional performance.Establish athlete monitoring systems covering workload, readiness, recovery, fatigue, sleep, wellness, and performance indicators.Analyze athlete data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.Work with coaches to translate performance data and scientific insights into practical training decisions.Coordinate training-load planning across preparation periods, competition periods, travel, recovery, and peak-performance phases.Monitor internal and external workload using appropriate performance technologies and methodologies.Establish protocols for athlete testing, screening, monitoring, data collection, and reporting.Coordinate physical performance testing, including strength, power, speed, endurance, mobility, and movement assessments where appropriate.Develop return-to-performance pathways in collaboration with medical and rehabilitation teams.Support injury-risk reduction through workload management, movement assessment, recovery strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Coordinate recovery programs involving sleep, nutrition, hydration, mobility, regeneration, and appropriate recovery technologies.Work with sports nutrition professionals to support athlete fueling, hydration, body composition, and competition requirements.Coordinate psychological performance support, mental preparation, resilience, focus, and performance routines with qualified specialists.Support athlete development programs from emerging talent through elite and professional levels.Establish individual development plans and track progress against agreed performance objectives.Coordinate athlete performance reviews with coaches, athletes, technical staff, and relevant specialists.Develop performance dashboards and reporting systems that provide clear, actionable insights to coaches and leadership.Establish data standards, performance benchmarks, documentation procedures, and reporting protocols.Evaluate sports science technologies, wearable devices, monitoring platforms, testing equipment, and performance solutions.Ensure performance technology is appropriately implemented, validated, maintained, and used consistently.Manage external performance consultants, testing providers, technology suppliers, laboratories, and specialist service providers.Define vendor requirements, service standards, performance expectations, and quality criteria.Develop athlete performance policies, procedures, operating standards, and governance frameworks.Ensure athlete data is handled securely and appropriately in accordance with applicable privacy and organizational requirements.Coordinate performance planning around competitions, tournaments, camps, travel schedules, and high-performance events.Develop strategies to manage jet lag, travel fatigue, environmental conditions, and competition-related performance challenges.Support preparation for major competitions through performance profiling, readiness monitoring, simulation, and targeted preparation.Identify factors affecting athlete performance and coordinate appropriate interventions with relevant specialists.Lead multidisciplinary performance meetings and ensure clear ownership of actions and follow-up.Promote evidence-based practice and maintain awareness of developments in sports science, performance technology, and athlete development.Review research and emerging methodologies to identify opportunities for performance improvement.Develop education programs for athletes and staff covering training, recovery, nutrition, sleep, monitoring, and performance behaviors.Train coaches and support staff on performance-monitoring systems, data interpretation, and appropriate use of performance information.Establish continuous-improvement processes for athlete performance programs.Monitor program effectiveness and adjust strategies based on athlete outcomes, feedback, and performance data.Manage performance-program budgets, resources, equipment, facilities, and staffing requirements.Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate performance staff and specialist practitioners where applicable.Maintain comprehensive athlete performance records, testing results, plans, reports, and intervention histories.Provide leadership with regular reports covering athlete readiness, performance trends, workload, risks, development progress, and program candidate should have strong experience in athlete performance, sports science, strength and conditioning, high-performance sport, performance management, or elite athlete development, preferably within professional teams, national federations, Olympic programs, academies, universities, or high-performance centers.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of athlete performance principles and multidisciplinary high-performance environments.Experience developing and managing integrated athlete performance programs.Knowledge of training-load monitoring, athlete readiness, recovery, and performance assessment.Experience working closely with coaches, sports scientists, medical teams, nutritionists, psychologists, and analysts.Strong understanding of physical performance testing and athlete monitoring methodologies.Experience interpreting performance data and translating insights into practical recommendations.Knowledge of strength and conditioning, recovery, injury-risk management, and athlete development principles.Experience managing performance technologies, wearables, testing systems, or athlete-monitoring platforms.Strong project-management, organizational, and stakeholder-management capabilities.Ability to manage multiple athletes, programs, competitions, priorities, and deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Strong understanding of athlete privacy, professional ethics, and responsible data management.Experience managing performance staff, consultants, vendors, or specialist providers.Strong evidence-based and continuous-improvement mindset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience working with international and distributed teams is highly desirable.Relevant academic or professional qualifications in sports science, exercise science, strength and conditioning, human performance, or a related field are highly desirable.
