The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience, excellent legal writing and research skills, and the ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with attorneys and professional staff.Key ResponsibilitiesManage civil litigation matters from initial investigation through resolution.Develop litigation strategies by evaluating facts, applicable law, exposure, and resolution opportunities.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery documents, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.Conduct and defend depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.Represent clients in California state and federal courts at hearings, conferences, motions, and trials.Handle written discovery, document production, expert discovery, and motion practice.Represent clients in mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, and other dispute-resolution proceedings.Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, risks, evaluations, and strategy.Negotiate settlements while protecting client interests.Collaborate with attorneys and professional staff to provide efficient and cost-effective representation.Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.Required QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.Ability to independently manage litigation matters through major stages of a case.Experience conducting depositions, handling motion practice, and appearing in state or federal court.Excellent legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills.Strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.Excellent client-service and communication skills.Proficiency with legal research platforms and case-management technology.Preferred QualificationsTrial experience.Experience representing public entities, businesses, insurers, or institutional clients.Strong interest in developing long-term client relationships and practice growth.Compensation & Benefits$125,000–$175,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.Hybrid work arrangement.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with firm matching.Life insurance.Long-term disability coverage.Paid time off.Ten paid holidays.Marketing and business development support.Professional development opportunities.Cross-office collaboration opportunities.If you are interested, could you please share your updated resume along with your salary expectations to Tristan@teksky.com or you can reach me at (857) 895-7980
