Our litigation attorneys represent manufacturers, material suppliers, contractors, service providers, property owners, and other businesses in sophisticated commercial and construction disputes in court, arbitration, and mediation.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an associate attorney with 5–8 years of litigation experience to join our Commercial and Construction Litigation Practice. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic thinker, and confident advocate who can manage matters with appropriate independence while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues. There are opportunities to work from either our Atlanta office or our St. Simons Island office.Key Responsibilities· Work commercial and construction litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.· Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.· Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.· Develop practical case strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives.· Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts.· Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters while taking ownership of assigned cases and workstreams.Qualifications· Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.· Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.· Five plus years of litigation experience; commercial or construction litigation experience is strongly preferred.· Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.· Strong judgment, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.· A client-focused, collaborative, and professional approach.Location & CompensationThis position offers the option to work from our Atlanta, Georgia, or St. Simons Island, Georgia, office.
