You'll work alongside collaborative teams that value innovation, continuous learning, and measurable results.This role will report to the Senior Audience Growth Marketing Manager based in the DC office and work across the Audience Development team as required to support our goals.What you’ll doDrive Audience Acquisition & EngagementPlan, execute, and optimize multi-channel growth campaigns to acquire net new newsletter subscribers and qualified leads across our editorial portfolioDevelop and test targeted campaigns across email, paid social, organic social, display advertising, and emerging channelsCreate compelling, audience-specific copy and creative assets that maximize conversion and engagementBuild and refine audience segments using advanced data tools to deliver personalized user experiences across all digital touchpointsUnderstand impact of growth on other audience metrics and KPIs, such as engagement, and work cross-departmentally on related initiativesCampaign Analytics & OptimizationMonitor campaign performance in real-time, identifying optimization opportunities to improve conversion rates, engagement metrics, and cost efficiency (CPL/CPC)Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to uncover insights that inform future strategiesProvide actionable reporting and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting key wins, learnings, and growth opportunitiesLaunch & Scale New InitiativesSupport go-to-market strategies for new editorial product launches, special projects, virtual events, and partnership initiativesExperiment with and validate new marketing channels to expand audience reachContribute to strategic audience development projects that enhance discovery, retention and lifetime value of our readersAudience Experience & SupportHelp manage subscriber communications and inquiries through newsletter inboxes, ensuring timely, professional responsesAdvocate for subscriber needs and contribute to improving overall user experienceCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Editorial, Product, and wider Audience Development teams to align campaigns with content strategies and business objectivesShare insights, trends, and best practices in team meetings to foster a culture of continuous improvementProvide flexible support on ad-hoc projects as team priorities evolveSuccess MetricsAudience Growth: Consistent but smart increase in newsletter subscribers and qualified leads across all publications, understanding and evaluating growth from within specific target reader segmentsCampaign Performance: Measurable improvements in conversion rates, engagement metrics, and cost per lead/clickChannel Innovation: Successful testing, validation, and scaling of new marketing channels and tacticsOperational Excellence: Timely campaign execution, accurate reporting, and responsive subscriber supportQualificationsRequired Experience & Skills1-2 years executing integrated marketing campaigns across social media (paid specifically), email, and display channelsPublishing or B2B media experience strongly preferred.
