Audio Visual Events Engineer

About the RoleStacked Group is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Events Engineer to join our Engineering team.This is a hands-on role combining warehouse preparation with on-site event delivery. You will act as a technical lead across live events, working with audio, video, lighting and control systems to ensure every event is set up, operated and de-rigged to a high standard.You will take ownership of rental equipment throughout the full event lifecycle, from preparation and configuration through to on-site operation and safe return to the warehouse.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Event PreparationReview event briefs and technical riders to determine AV requirementsPrepare, test and configure rental equipment for each eventEnsure equipment is correctly packed and ready for transportOn-Site Event DeliveryLead the setup, configuration and testing of AV systems at venuesOperate equipment during live events, including audio mixing, video switching and presentation systemsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and calmlyWork closely with event producers, stage managers, clients and other technical crewsPost-EventOversee the safe de-rig, packing and return of equipmentReport equipment faults and maintenance requirementsProvide post-event technical reports when requiredSkills & ExperienceEssential:Minimum 3 years' experience in live events or AV rentals in a technical delivery roleStrong knowledge of audio mixing desks, video switchers, projection systems, LED walls, microphones and playback systemsGood understanding of signal flow, connectivity standards and troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and stage plansStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to work effectively to tight deadlines and under pressureCustomer-focused approach and confidence representing Stacked Group on-siteFlexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel when requiredFull clean Irish driving licenceDesirable:Experience with audio and video distribution protocolsFamiliarity with lighting control and DMX for corporate and stage productionsExperience with live streaming and broadcast workflows, including OBS or vMixRelevant AV or safety certifications such as AVIXA CTS, IPAF MEWP, Safe Pass or Working at HeightsPackage & Working ArrangementsCompetitive salary, depending on experienceCompany vanFuel cardMobile phone and laptopFull-time, permanent positionBased from Stacked HQ, RedCow Business Park, DublinNationwide travel requiredWorking hours vary depending on the event schedule, with evening and weekend work expectedAbout Stacked GroupStacked Group is a leading Pro AV Systems Integrator headquartered in Dublin, delivering AV design, installation and managed solutions to clients nationwide.Alongside our integration work, our Events team delivers professional AV for live events across Ireland, from corporate conferences and product launches to large-scale productions.If you're an experienced live-events AV professional who enjoys taking ownership of technical delivery and working in a fast-paced event environment, we'd like to hear from you.Apply today to join the Stacked Group Engineering team.
