Audio Visual Specialist

The AV Technical Specialist provides hands-on audiovisual and technology support for classrooms, conference rooms, amphitheaters, meeting spaces, and special events. This role supports faculty, staff, students, visitors, and event organizers by preparing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining audiovisual systems to ensure reliable technology-enabled experiences.

Responsibilities

Experience providing hands-on audiovisual technical support in classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, or event environments.Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, presentation, conferencing, and computer technologies.Experience supporting video/web conferencing, virtual meetings, live streaming, and hybrid events.Ability to configure, test, operate, and maintain AV systems and related equipment.Experience with ticketing systems, technical documentation, equipment inventories, and knowledge-base resources.Ability to provide on-site support during scheduled events, classes, and meetings, including occasional work outside standard business hours when required.
