Role OverviewThe AV Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting comprehensive audio-visual systems across diverse meeting spaces and event venues. This role requires hands-on technical proficiency, exceptional customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve A/V issues quickly. Working closely with IT, Facilities, and administrative teams, the engineer ensures reliable room technology and supports live events, contributing to a productive, tech-enabled corporate environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily AV support for meetings, presentations, corporate events, town halls, and offsite functions; handle A/V setups and breakdowns with precision and efficiency.Conduct routine maintenance, setup, and configuration of conference room A/V hardware, including displays, projectors, cameras, microphones, control systems, and digital signage.Support remote and hybrid collaboration via video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, ensuring optimal functionality and troubleshooting connectivity issues.Respond to, resolve, and document A/V support tickets within established SLAs; escalate complex issues to senior technical staff while maintaining prompt communication.Assist with conference room buildouts, relocations, and upgrades, providing technical expertise on hardware deployment, cabling, and system integration.Maintain detailed records of equipment inventory, cabling, and room configuration standards; contribute to documentation and signage content for the A/V systems.Collaborate with IT support teams and Facilities to ensure consistent technology standards, share knowledge on troubleshooting, and support workplace technology projects.Core Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting audio-visual, event technology, or IT systems with an emphasis on A/V hardware and conferencing systems.Proficiency with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams), audiovisual equipment, and room control systems.Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot A/V hardware, cabling, and digital signage in live environments.Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and proactive planning for room readiness and event support.Ability to lift and move large A/V equipment, and flexibility to respond outside normal business hours for event support.Experience supporting corporate or agency environments preferred, with familiarity in digital signage, helpdesk ticketing systems, and basic endpoint management tools such as Jamf.Core Technical SkillsVideo conferencing hardware: displays, cameras, microphonesRoom control systems and digital signageHelpdesk/ticketing platforms (ITSM, ServiceNow)Cable management and A/V hardware deploymentTroubleshooting AV and collaboration software connectivity issuesCareer ImpactThis role directly influences the organization’s ability to deliver smooth, professional meetings and events, enhancing internal collaboration and client engagement through reliable A/V support and innovative meeting solutions.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary range provided.
