With more than seventy in-house locations and offices throughout the United States, KVL serves clients locally and globally.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site audio visual role based in Cranston, RI. The role involves setting up, operating, and striking audio visual (AV) systems for meetings, events, and conferences, ensuring all sound, projection, and video conferencing equipment functions reliably. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating equipment logistics, performing system checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting live events from pre-event testing through post-event breakdown. The role also includes collaborating with event planners, venue staff, and other technicians to meet client specifications, while providing clear communication and professional customer service. The team member is expected to maintain AV inventory, follow safety and quality standards, and stay current with AV technologies and best practices.Qualifications Strong audio visual support skills, including experience setting up and operating Audio Visual (AV) Systems for meetings and events.Knowledge of video conferencing platforms and equipment, with the ability to configure and support hybrid and virtual event setups.Proficiency in troubleshooting AV issues, diagnosing equipment problems, and resolving technical challenges quickly under time constraints.Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide professional on-site support to clients and venue partners.Basic understanding of signal flow, cabling, and connectivity (audio, video, and networking) and familiarity with common AV hardware and control systems.Ability to work on-site, including standing for extended periods, lifting and moving AV equipment, and working flexible hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.Previous experience in event production, hospitality, or a related AV environment is beneficial; industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA/InfoComm) are a plus.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or coursework in audio visual technology is preferred.
