Audio Visual Engineer – London

Location: London – OnsiteSalary: £55,000 per annumType: PermanentWe are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join a busy technical services team, providing onsite support, troubleshooting and maintenance across a range of AV technologies.You’ll work directly with clients and technical teams to resolve issues, carry out preventative maintenance and ensure AV systems remain operational and reliable.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve AV and technical issues both remotely and onsite.Support conference room and collaboration technologies.Carry out health checks, preventative maintenance and equipment diagnostics.Manage support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescales.Install, configure and maintain AV equipment.Carry out firmware updates and basic diagnostics.Maintain accurate equipment records and technical documentation.Liaise with clients, facilities teams, IT teams and manufacturers.Raise and manage equipment warranty/RMA cases where required.Complete onsite reports and document completed work.Follow onsite health, safety and client procedures.Key Skills & ExperienceExperience working with AV and conference room technologies such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp or BSS Soundweb.Knowledge of audio and video processing technologies.Strong understanding of IT networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs and network troubleshooting.Experience with firmware updates and diagnostics for networked AV equipment.Ability to read technical schematics.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and confidently onsite.Professional approach when dealing with clients and technical teams.Willingness to travel when required.Additional: Candidates may be required to undergo security clearance depending on the client environment.If you’re an experienced Audio Visual Engineer looking for a permanent onsite role in London, please get in touch or send over your CV.
