You'll configure, optimise, test and commission complex AV systems and make sure everything works together exactly as it should.Working closely with System Engineers, Project Managers and installation teams, you'll turn technical designs into fully functioning onboard systems — from high-end cinemas and distributed audio to IPTV, video distribution and integrated AV control.The RealityWorking in the superyacht industry comes with high expectations.Details matter. Audio should be balanced throughout the yacht. Video should be delivered seamlessly. And when a system behaves differently than expected, you need to know where to look and how to solve it.No two projects are the same.One day you're configuring and testing AV systems in our workshop or preparing a system for installation. The next, you're on board a superyacht commissioning systems, troubleshooting a technical issue or supporting an installation team during a critical phase of the project.You combine detailed technical knowledge with a practical mindset and remain focused when things get complex.Your RoleYou're responsible for making sure the AV technology works exactly as intended.Working from functional designs and project requirements, you'll translate system concepts into practical configurations and setups. You'll configure, test and optimise AV systems and ensure that the different components work together as one complete solution.Your work can include high-end audio, cinema systems, video distribution, IPTV, AV control and network-based AV technologies. Depending on the project, you'll work with different manufacturers, platforms and system configurations.You'll also analyse system performance, identify technical issues and advise on improvements where needed. During the project, you'll work closely with System Engineers and Project Managers and provide technical support to the teams responsible for installation and commissioning.And when the yacht is ready to come to life, you'll be there to commission, test and fine-tune the systems on board.From the first configuration to the final test before delivery, you're an important part of making sure the technology performs at the level our clients expect.What you’ll getAt VBH, you'll work on projects that few AV professionals ever experience.In return, we offer:A gross monthly salary between €3.738,- and €5.374,- based on a 40-hours work week€0.25 per kilometre travel allowance for a one-way commute of at least 10 km;100% reimbursement of public transport costs;A VBH laptop and iPhone;25 vacation days per year;4% annual profit-sharing scheme, depending on the achievement of company objectives. This scheme applies after a positive C-performance review and once you have completed one year of employment;Training and personal development opportunities;Guidance from experienced System Engineers and technical specialists;Opportunities for career growth within engineering and the wider organisation;The opportunity to apply your technical knowledge to high-end AV/IT solutions on board some of the world's most extraordinary superyachts.What you bringWe're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a practical mindset.You'll probably recognise yourself in this:Strong knowledge of AV/IT infrastructures, networking and system integration.Several years of experience working with complex AV systems and technical environments.Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: IPTV, audio systems, video systems, AV control or AV-over-IP technologies.Experience with Crestron Digital Media, Dante or similar technologies is a strong advantage.Able to read and understand technical documentation and translate system requirements into practical configurations.Comfortable configuring, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning complex systems.Independent and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and a calm approach when technical challenges arise.An analytical mindset, with the ability to identify the root cause of technical problems rather than simply solving the symptom.Clear and confident communication skills when working with colleagues, suppliers and clients, in both Dutch and English.Willingness to travel internationally and an interest in working in different technical environments.Currently based in the Netherlands, with the ability to work here without requiring visa sponsorship or relocation support from VBH.Ready to bring extraordinary experiences to life?If you are getting just as excited as us after reading this, we'd love to hear your story.🛥️ Join VBH and become part of the team behind some of the world's most advanced superyachts.
