Audit Supervisor

Description: We are currently looking for an audit supervisor with six to eight years’ experience in external audit to support operations in UAE.The role involves managing a portfolio of clients from planning through completion, maintaining audit quality and a strong risk focus, and building client relationships. You will also coach and develop junior team members while ensuring deliverables are completed on time and in line with professional standards and firm methodology.Key responsibilities: Lead and supervise external audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within budget and deadlinesPerform client and engagement risk assessments, identify key risk areas and design efficient audit responsesCoordinate fieldwork activities, including timelines, staffing and allocation of tasks across the engagement teamObtain, analyse and validate financial and operational information and assess accounting treatments and disclosuresEvaluate internal controls and compliance requirements and communicate control deficiencies and recommendations to managementReview audit working papers and deliverables to ensure quality, completeness and compliance with firm methodology and ISAsDraft and review audit deliverables including the auditor’s report, management letter and management representation letterAct as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients during engagements, managing information requests and status updatesCoach, mentor and develop associates through on-the-job training, feedback and performance supportFor group audits, coordinate component auditor instructions, review component deliverables and support group reporting requirementsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS, auditing standards and relevant regulatory changes and apply updates to engagementsUphold firm values, ethical standards and independence requirements in all client interactions and work performed

Qualifications

Professionally qualified: ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineSix to eight years’ external audit experience, including supervising and reviewing team workStrong working knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA)Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirementsStrong understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and audit methodologyWorking knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements relevant to external auditsExperience in group audits, including component coordination and reporting packagesProven ability to lead, coach and supervise teams and review work for qualityWhat we offer: Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and growthSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries
