Team members benefit from exposure to diverse project types and a collaborative environment focused on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.Role Description The Authority Approval Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting drawings, documents, and technical reports to relevant authorities for approvals and permits. Daily activities include coordinating with design and supervision teams, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations, and following up on applications to resolve comments and secure timely approvals. The Authority Approval Engineer will liaise with government entities, utilities, and other regulatory bodies, maintain accurate records of all submissions and approvals, and support project teams by advising on permitting requirements and procedural updates.Qualifications Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements, permitting processes, and local building regulations.Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, with attention to detail and accuracy.Experience coordinating with government authorities, municipalities, and utility providers for project approvals.Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to handle queries and resolve technical comments.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple submissions, track approvals, and meet project deadlines.Relevant engineering or architecture degree (e.g., Civil, Architectural, or related field); professional certifications in UAE are an advantage.Previous experience in consultancy or construction firms within the UAE, especially in Abu Dhabi, is highly beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
