JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Research Analyst for Auto Ancillaries and midcaps.

Location: Mumbai – Lower Parel

Department: InvestmentsReporting to: Fund ManagerBand: Senior Manager / Chief Manager Context & Role:The job holder will have primary responsibility for tracking listed companies and investment opportunities across the auto/auto ancillaries and other mid cap sector as required by the team.The role requires a strong understanding of both operating businesses and investment structures, with the ability to assess business quality, cash flow sustainability, capital allocation, governance standards, regulatory developments and valuation.In addition to core sector coverage, the analyst should demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and expand research coverage into adjacent sectors as portfolio requirements evolve.

This may include businesses and sectors relevant to the investment team's needs.Desired qualifications and experience:MBA from a reputed institute/ University or CA/ CFA.A minimum of 5+ years of total experience in the similar role in an MF/Insurance/PMS/Broking Firms.Demonstrated ability to initiate and build coverage in new sectors and business models.Strong financial modelling, valuation and corporate finance skills.Key Responsibilities Include:Track and analyse companies across Auto and auto ancillaries and other mid cap sectorsBuild and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks for companies and investment vehicles under coverage.Generate actionable investment ideas and provide buy, hold and sell recommendations to fund managers.Attend quarterly earnings calls, investor meetings, analyst interactions and industry conferences.Engage regularly with company management teams, sell-side analysts, industry experts and consultants.Monitor regulatory, policy and macroeconomic developments impacting covered sectors.Provide timely sector updates and thematic research to support portfolio construction.Expand coverage into adjacent sectors as required by portfolio needs, demonstrating intellectual curiosity and sector-learning capability.Measures of Performance:Attribution analysis using Bloomberg for analysing alpha generationKnowledge and skills required:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation capabilities.Deep understanding of equity markets and investment processes.Strong grasp of accounting, capital allocation and cash flow analysis.Understanding of macroeconomic, regulatory and policy drivers impacting covered sectors.Ability to learn new sectors quickly and develop independent investment views.Working knowledge of Bloomberg, AceEquity and other research databases.
