Role DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings, detailed plans, and design documentation in support of engineering, architectural, construction, and project development activities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and project teams to translate concepts, sketches, and technical specifications into clear, precise, and professionally presented drawings.The role involves creating, modifying, and maintaining 2D drawings and, where required, 3D models using AutoCAD and other relevant computer-aided design software. The candidate will ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and established drafting procedures while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout the design process.Key responsibilities include preparing floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts, construction details, equipment drawings, and technical schematics based on project requirements. The role also involves reviewing existing drawings, incorporating design revisions, updating dimensions and annotations, organizing drawing layers, and ensuring that all technical information is clearly represented.The successful candidate will coordinate with project stakeholders to clarify design requirements, resolve drafting discrepancies, and incorporate feedback into revised drawings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining drawing registers, managing document revisions, organizing CAD files, preparing submission packages, and ensuring that the latest approved drawings are available to relevant team members.The position may involve supporting architectural layouts, structural details, mechanical and electrical drawings, interior design plans, or other technical documentation depending on the organization's projects. The candidate will assist with quantity measurements, material schedules, as-built drawings, and other supporting documentation when required.Attention to detail is essential when checking dimensions, scales, symbols, tolerances, and drawing references. The AutoCAD Draftsman will help identify inconsistencies, maintain organized project documentation, and ensure that drawings are suitable for review, coordination, and implementation. The role may also involve coordinating with site personnel to incorporate field measurements, existing conditions, and construction updates into revised drawings.We value individuals who demonstrate technical precision, strong organizational skills, and a practical approach to solving design and drafting challenges. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple drawing assignments, meet project deadlines, communicate effectively with technical teams, and maintain high standards of documentation quality.QualificationsA diploma, certificate, degree, or equivalent qualification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing, editing, and maintaining accurate technical drawings.Understanding of technical drawing conventions, dimensions, scales, symbols, annotations, and drafting standards.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, sketches, technical specifications, and design instructions.Familiarity with layer management, blocks, external references, drawing templates, plotting, and CAD file organization.Knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and technical documentation is an advantage.Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, or other design software is beneficial, depending on project requirements.Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and the ability to identify drafting errors or inconsistencies.Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with engineers, architects, designers, contractors, and project teams.Ability to maintain accurate records, manage drawing revisions, and follow established quality control procedures.A proactive attitude, willingness to adapt to project changes, and commitment to producing precise, clear, and reliable technical drawings.
