This role will focus on improving operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and supporting digital transformation initiatives through automation, robotics, and industrial software technologies.Projects span a mix of industries, including oil & gas, chemical processing, food & beverage, and general manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently, and contributing to the development of modern automation architectures.This position offers a flexible, growth-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to expand their expertise, take ownership of their work, and develop into subject matter experts.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, implement, and support industrial control systems and automation solutions.Develop PLC applications for process and manufacturing environments.Configure, integrate, and support SCADA and HMI platforms with a focus on Ignition.Identify opportunities to improve workflows, operational efficiency, and system performance through automation.Support robotics integration and automated manufacturing initiatives.Develop and modify control logic using Structured Text and other PLC programming languages.Assist with industrial networking, OT infrastructure, and IIoT connectivity projects.Participate in system architecture development and automation standards creation.Troubleshoot control system issues, perform system testing, and support commissioning activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers throughout project execution.Travel to customer sites for startup, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project support activities.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience programming PLCs in industrial environments.Experience with Ignition SCADA development and configuration.Working knowledge of industrial control system architecture.Experience with networkingAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Willingness to travel approximately, primarily within Texas.PreferredExperience with robotics and manufacturing automation.Familiarity with IIoT technologies and digital transformation initiatives.Familiarity with Python, VB Script, or .NET.Experience developing applications using Structured Text.Experience supporting system integration, commissioning, or controls modernization projects.What You'll Find HereFlexible, process-driven work environment.High degree of autonomy and ownership.No micromanagement culture.Opportunity to learn new technologies and expand technical expertise.Exposure to a diverse mix of automation projects across multiple industries.Career growth focused on helping employees develop deep expertise in areas they are passionate about.
