With broad experience across oil & gas, hydrogen, carbon capture, and industrial processing, Proclad helps clients implement corrosion management strategies for demanding service environments.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Control Engineer role based in Dubai. The Automation Control Engineer will design, implement, and optimize control systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency in corrosion-resistant product lines. Daily activities include developing control logic and PLC programs, configuring instrumentation and electrical interfaces, and integrating robotics and automation equipment with existing systems. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting control and electrical issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support commissioning and testing, maintain documentation and standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with project and regulatory requirements.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Process Control, including configuration, tuning, and optimization of automated manufacturing processes.Candidates should possess proven Troubleshooting skills for automation, electrical faults, and control system performance issues.Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills, covering industrial power distribution, instrumentation, and safety standards.Candidates should possess applied experience in Robotics, including integration, programming, and maintenance of robotic systems in production environments.Candidates should possess expertise in Control Systems Design, including PLC/SCADA architecture, hardware selection, and control logic development.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).Experience in heavy industry, energy, or manufacturing environments, ideally involving corrosion-resistant materials or process equipment.Familiarity with industrial safety practices, IEC/IEEE standards, and risk assessments for automated systems.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs, and to create clear technical documentation and reports.Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural, on-site engineering and production setting.Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation.
