The ideal candidate will combine engineering knowledge, programming capabilities, robotics expertise, and industrial automation skills to improve productivity, precision, safety, and operational efficiency.🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated production systems, robotic cells, and industrial automation solutions.
- Develop automation concepts based on production requirements, technical specifications, and operational objectives.
- Program and configure industrial robots, PLCs, motion-control systems, sensors, and automated equipment.
- Develop robotic applications for material handling, assembly, inspection, packaging, welding, or other industrial processes.
- Integrate robots with conveyors, vision systems, sensors, actuators, safety devices, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and modify PLC programs, control logic, HMI interfaces, and machine sequences.
- Configure industrial communication protocols and networks for automation systems.
- Perform system integration, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of automated equipment.
- Conduct robot teaching, calibration, positioning, path optimization, and cycle-time improvements.
- Integrate machine vision systems for inspection, measurement, identification, and robotic guidance.
- Analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for automation and robotics implementation.
- Develop solutions to reduce manual operations, production costs, cycle times, and process variability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new automation and robotics projects.
- Prepare system layouts, electrical/control concepts, technical specifications, and automation documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, and process engineers during system development.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, control, sensor, and robotic system issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring automation failures.
- Support installation, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and production ramp-up.
- Monitor machine performance, equipment availability, cycle time, downtime, and other automation KPIs.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for robotic and automated equipment.
- Develop safety interlocks, emergency-stop systems, guarding, and other machine-safety controls.
- Ensure automation systems comply with relevant engineering, safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Maintain software versions, PLC programs, robot programs, configurations, backups, and technical records.
- Provide technical training and operational support to technicians, operators, and maintenance teams.
- Research emerging robotics, artificial intelligence, machine vision, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.✅ Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in industrial automation, robotics, controls engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, control systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience programming or configuring PLC systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, or similar platforms.
- Experience with industrial robots such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, or equivalent systems.
- Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, motion control, servo systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial control equipment.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherCAT, or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating machine vision systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with robot simulation, offline programming, CAD, or automation design software is preferred.
- Understanding of machine safety principles, risk assessment, guarding, and safety-control systems.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Structured Text, or other automation-related languages is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environments.
- Strong project coordination and technical documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering projects.
- Willingness to travel to production sites, customer locations, or project facilities when required.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, IoT, digital manufacturing, predictive maintenance, or smart-factory technologies is a plus.
