Automotive Service Manager

Job Purpose:The Automotive Service Manager will oversee daily workshop operations and lead a team of service advisors and technicians. This role plays a key part in collaborating with the management team to develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s service strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day workshop operations for franchise service centers and identify avenues to expand the service business.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies to improve profitability and overall business growth.Train, mentor, and motivate the service team to achieve performance excellence and deliver superior customer experiences.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards and policies.Demonstrate strong technical expertise in automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.Monitor performance metrics, including productivity, profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring continuous improvement.Develop sales forecasts, set departmental targets, and work diligently to achieve them.Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution and customer delight.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.10–12 years of progressive experience in automotive service operations, preferably in a franchise environment.Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes.Proven leadership and people management skills.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Results-driven mindset with strong cost-consciousness and business acumen.
