The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in Automotive Technology, preparing students with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required for careers in the automotive industry.ResponsibilitiesDeliver theoretical and practical lessons in Automotive Technology.Teach automotive systems, including engines, transmission, electrical systems, braking, steering, suspension, and vehicle diagnostics.Conduct practical workshop sessions while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.Develop lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments, and instructional materials.Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.Support students in developing technical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.Operate and maintain workshop equipment and automotive diagnostic tools.Keep up to date with developments in automotive technology, including hybrid and electric vehicles.Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and academic excellence.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or a related engineering discipline.Teaching qualification is preferred.Minimum 3 years of relevant industry and/or teaching experience in Automotive Technology.Required SkillsAutomotive Engineering FundamentalsVehicle Diagnostics & TroubleshootingEngine, Transmission & Powertrain SystemsElectrical & Electronic Vehicle SystemsBrake, Steering & Suspension SystemsHybrid & Electric Vehicle Knowledge (preferred)Automotive Workshop Practices & SafetyPractical Demonstration & Technical TrainingCurriculum Planning & Student AssessmentClassroom & Workshop ManagementCommunication & Presentation SkillsProblem Solving & Critical ThinkingMicrosoft OfficePreferred ExperienceExperience teaching in a technical college, vocational institute, or secondary technical school.Industry experience with automotive manufacturers, dealerships, or service centers.Familiarity with modern automotive diagnostic equipment and software.Experience teaching international or competency-based curricula is an advantage.
