We are looking for a practical, hands-on technical leader who is passionate about technical excellence, developing people and continuously improving operational standards.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Operations & Training Manager to support the continued growth of MENA Assistance and TRAC.Reporting to the Head of Automotive Operations, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical standards, operational procedures, training programmes, operational systems and knowledge that underpin our roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, vehicle logistics and vehicle storage operations.This role is ideal for someone who has progressed from a strong automotive technical background into leadership and enjoys building technical capability, developing people and implementing industry-leading technical standards.The OpportunityWorking closely with the CEO and Head of Automotive Operations, you will establish technical standards, develop SOPs and recovery procedures, implement OEM roadside assistance programmes, lead technical training, oversee operational systems and ensure the organisation remains aligned with industry best practice and emerging vehicle technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Standards & GovernanceOwn and continuously improve the Group's technical standards across roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, vehicle logistics and vehicle storage. Develop, implement and maintain technical protocols, SOPs, recovery procedures and operational standards. Develop technical standards for vehicle recovery, transportation, vehicle handling and vehicle storage. Ensure technical operations are performed safely, consistently and in accordance with manufacturer guidance, legislation and industry best practice. Conduct technical audits, quality reviews and operational assessments across internal teams and service providers. Investigate technical incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Technical Training & Capability DevelopmentDesign, deliver and continuously improve technical training programmes for Roadside Assistance Specialists, operational teams and service providers. Develop competency frameworks, certification programmes and technical assessments. Coach and mentor operational teams to improve technical capability and consistency. Research, interpret and apply manufacturer vehicle manuals, technical documentation, emergency response guides, recovery guidance and technical publications to develop internal SOPs, recovery procedures and training programmes. Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, technical partners and industry organisations. Travel within the UAE and across the MENA region, where required, to attend OEM technical training, certification programmes and industry workshops. Ensure new technical knowledge is transferred throughout the organisation through structured training, coaching and mentoring. OEM Programmes, Technology & Operational SystemsLead the technical implementation and operational integration of OEM roadside assistance programmes and associated operational technologies. Work closely with OEMs and technology partners to implement and embed operational platforms, including BCall and future OEM roadside assistance technologies, into the Group's roadside assistance operations. Document operational workflows, technical procedures and SOPs arising from OEM programme and technology implementations. Develop and deliver technical and operational training for Roadside Assistance Specialists, Team Leaders and service providers, ensuring the successful adoption of OEM operational platforms and technologies. Lead the implementation, training and continuous improvement of Driver Apps, Dealer Apps and other operational technologies that support roadside assistance, vehicle recovery and field operations. Monitor system adoption, user competency and operational performance, implementing improvements where required. Act as the primary technical liaison between MMC Group, OEMs and technology providers for the implementation of operational systems, technical programmes and emerging technologies. Technical Oversight – Recovery, Logistics & Vehicle StorageOversee the technical readiness of the recovery fleet, equipment and operational assets. Develop and maintain technical standards for vehicle recovery, transportation, vehicle logistics and vehicle storage. Ensure vehicle storage operations follow approved inspection procedures, vehicle handling protocols, battery management requirements, safety standards and quality controls. Evaluate new recovery equipment, tools and operational technologies. Develop technical accreditation standards for service providers and conduct technical audits to ensure compliance. Innovation & Future TechnologiesDevelop SOPs, recovery procedures and training programmes for emerging automotive technologies, including electric vehicles (EV), battery electric vehicles (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), ADAS, connected vehicles and future mobility technologies. Monitor developments in automotive technology and recommend improvements that strengthen the Group's technical capability and operational readiness. Technical Knowledge Management & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and maintain the Group's technical knowledge library, ensuring manufacturer documentation, vehicle manuals, recovery procedures, SOPs and technical guidance remain current, accessible and aligned with best practice. Ensure technical knowledge is embedded into operational procedures, training programmes and digital platforms. Monitor technical KPIs, audit findings and operational performance. Recommend improvements to technical processes, equipment, operational practices and technology. Support the implementation of automation, AI and digital technologies that improve technical operations and service delivery. About YouExperienceMinimum 8–10 years' experience in automotive technical operations, roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, workshop operations or vehicle logistics. Strong technical background as an Automotive Technician, Master Technician, OEM Technical Trainer, Workshop Manager, Technical Operations Manager or a similar senior automotive technical role. Proven experience developing SOPs, technical standards and structured training programmes. Experience implementing OEM programmes and operational systems is highly desirable. Experience leading technical or operational teams. Strong understanding of passenger and commercial vehicle systems, recovery methods and emerging vehicle technologies.
