Position Title: AV & Security Solutions TechnicianDepartment: IT SolutionsLocation: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout Al Abbas GroupFounded in 1967, Al Abbas Group (AAG) is one of the UAE’s established and diversified business groups, with operations across multiple sectors including Distribution, Solution Providers, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Support Services, and Strategic Communications.With a strong presence across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, Al Abbas Group continues to build sustainable businesses through innovation, service excellence, and a customer-focused approach.About the RoleWe are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused AV & Security Solutions Technician to join our IT Solutions team in Dubai.The role will be responsible for the installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of IT, AV, and Security products at customer sites.The ideal candidate should have strong technical troubleshooting skills, good customer interaction abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a project implementation team while following OEM standards, SLAs, company procedures, and HSE requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure Installation & SupportInstall, configure, commission, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, workstations, servers, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.Configure user accounts, permissions, shared folders, printers, and network resources.Install and configure wired and wireless networking equipment including routers, switches, access points, and structured cabling.Perform hardware diagnostics and component replacement.Execute operating system updates, firmware upgrades, and software patches.Audio Visual (AV) SolutionsInstall, configure, and commission Interactive Flat Panels (IFP).Conduct customer demonstrations and user orientation after installation.Install and configure video conferencing equipment.Configure cameras, microphones, speakers, touch panels, and presentation systems.Perform software and firmware updates for AV equipment.Troubleshoot display, connectivity, audio, and video issues.Security SolutionsInstall and configure IP CCTV surveillance systems, NVRs, and DVRs.Configure IP cameras, storage devices, remote viewing, and mobile applications.Perform camera positioning, focus adjustment, and recording verification.Install and troubleshoot access control systems where applicable.Support cybersecurity solutions including endpoint protection, firewall deployment, antivirus, email security, and network security devices.Perform firmware upgrades and security updates for supported devices.Field Service OperationsAttend customer service requests within agreed SLA timelines.Resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents.Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when required.Perform preventive maintenance visits according to maintenance schedules.Participate in new installations, upgrades, migrations, and relocation projects.Read technical drawings, network layouts, and installation plans.Ensure installations comply with project specifications and quality standards.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.Good knowledge of networking fundamentals.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Good customer service and communication skills.Strong time management and prioritization skills.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Commitment to continuous technical learning.Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.Preferred CertificationsCandidates with any of the following certifications or training will be preferred:Microsoft CertificationsCertified CCTV / Security Systems TrainingCybersecurity fundamentalsOEM Interactive Flat Panel TrainingWhat We OfferCompany-provided mobile SIM for business useComprehensive medical insurance coverageAnnual air ticketOpportunity to work within a diversified and growth-oriented organizationStructured career development and progression opportunitiesProfessional, collaborative, and supportive work environmentApplication Process: Qualified candidates are invited to apply directly through LinkedIn.
