One of our core purposes is to produce credible, balanced, and objective news and analysis, always with a view to uphold the public good and fostering an informed, engaged citizenry.We welcome talented individuals to join us and grow a career in a vibrant and collaborative environment built around a culture of respect and inclusivity.As an employer, we are committed to rewarding our people fairly and developing them in their careers.About the Role The AV and Event Executive oversees AV operations, manage event logistics, and provide on-site technical support to ensure the smooth delivery of meetings, conferences, and corporate events at the SPH News Centre.Role & ResponsibilitiesOperate AV systems, including sound, projection, lighting, and display equipment at the main auditorium, meeting rooms, training rooms and common facilities.Manage AV support for meetings, conferences, and corporate events, including live streaming and hybrid formats.Work closely with internal teams and event organisers to align AV requirements and event needs.Assist with event logistics, including venue setup and smooth execution of programmes.Guide event staff, speakers, and organisers on the effective use of AV systems.Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues promptly to minimise disruption during events.Maintain and track AV equipment inventory, ensuring proper servicing, readiness, and availability.Monitor budgets, prepare purchase requisitions, and process invoices for AV and event services.Identify opportunities to improve AV capabilities and event experiences.Undertake other responsibilities as required to ensure successful event outcomes.Who we are looking for Diploma holder with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in AV Technology, Events Management, Audio Visual Engineering, or related fields, preferably in a large organisation.Hands-on knowledge of AV equipment setup, calibration, and operation.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or public holidays in line with event schedules.
