Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole: AV Event Technician/ Audio Visual TechnicianLocation: Tokyo, JapanContract: 1 Year + ExtendableStart Date: October 2026Work Arrangement: Onsite – 5 Days/WeekExperience: 3+ Years Relevant ExperienceLanguages: Business-level Japanese & EnglishJob OverviewWe are looking for an experienced AV Event Technician / Audio Visual Technician to join our team in Tokyo and provide hands-on technical support for corporate events, conferences, meetings, presentations, and other onsite activities.The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in AV equipment setup, operation, testing, troubleshooting, and event support, along with excellent communication and customer-service skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, test, and dismantle audio/video equipment for corporate events and conferences.Configure and support microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, cameras, video conferencing systems, and related AV equipment.Conduct sound checks, equipment testing, technical rehearsals, and pre-event inspections.Provide real-time onsite troubleshooting and technical support during events.Support presenters, clients, event teams, and venue staff with AV-related requirements.Monitor AV systems throughout events and resolve technical issues promptly.Coordinate with internal teams, clients, presenters, and venue personnel to ensure smooth event delivery.Maintain, organize, and manage AV equipment before and after events.Support events that may occasionally require work outside standard business hours.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of relevant AV, event, or audiovisual technician experience.Hands-on experience with corporate AV, hotels, conference venues, or event production.Strong knowledge of AV equipment setup, operation, testing, and troubleshooting.Experience with audio systems, video displays, projectors, cameras, microphones, and video conferencing technology.Strong customer-service and communication skills.Business-level Japanese and English proficiency.Comfortable working onsite in Tokyo, including occasional support outside standard working hours.Must have valid authorization to work in Japan.Contract & Compensation1-year contract with potential for extensionStart Date: October 2026Location: Tokyo, JapanWork: Fully onsite, 5 days per week
