AV Fleet Technician📍 Sunnyvale, CA 94086 | 💲$49/hr | 📅 1-Year ContractWe are seeking an AV Fleet Technician to support autonomous vehicle operations through hands-on troubleshooting, sensor maintenance, system validation, and Linux-based diagnostics. This role partners closely with engineering teams to ensure vehicle readiness and data collection quality.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics, repairs, sensor swaps, and hardware troubleshooting on autonomous vehicle platforms.Execute sensor calibration and validation procedures for LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, and GPS/IMU systems.Use Linux command line tools to review logs, run validation scripts, update software, and flash firmware.Monitor system alerts and support issue resolution in partnership with engineering teams.Maintain accurate documentation, testing records, and asset tracking.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in hardware maintenance, electronics troubleshooting, robotics, aerospace, AV, or similar technical environments.Strong Linux CLI skills with the ability to review logs, perform network diagnostics, and run scripts.Experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.Ability to work onsite and lift up to 40 lbs.Preferred QualificationsAutonomous Vehicle (AV) or ADAS experience.Sensor calibration experience (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, GPS/IMU).Basic Bash or Python scripting knowledge.Experience with SOP development, process improvement, or technician mentoring.Ideal backgrounds: AV, robotics, aerospace, drone operations, data center hardware, defense technology, or advanced manufacturing.
