RGR Partners is dedicated to keeping businesses compliant, hiring effective, and HR-related stress to a minimum.Role Description The AV Installation Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as documentation and remote support. In this role, the technician installs, configures, and tests audio-visual equipment and cabling for client sites, ensuring systems function effectively and safely. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting schematics, mounting and connecting devices, performing system checks, and troubleshooting technical issues on-site and remotely. The technician interacts directly with clients to explain system features, provide basic user training, and respond to service requests in a professional and timely manner. This role also involves maintaining accurate installation records, coordinating with internal teams, and following company and industry standards for quality and safety.Qualifications Technical skills in AV installation, including cabling, equipment mounting, and basic networking for audio-visual systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve AV and connectivity issues efficiently.Effective communication and customer service abilities to work directly with clients and internal teams.Focus on customer satisfaction, with a commitment to delivering reliable, user-friendly installations.Experience with hand and power tools, and ability to read technical diagrams or wiring schematics.Comfort with working on ladders, in varied environments, and lifting equipment as required for installations.High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in AV, IT, or low-voltage systems are beneficial.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to client sites in the Cleveland, OH area.
