AV Programmer

AV Programmer that will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom programming solutions for audiovisual systems. This role requires expertise in AV system programming languages, such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron, as well as a strong understanding of AV system architecture and integration principles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accountability Area:Collaborate with clients, project managers, and AV engineers to understand project requirements and objectives.Design custom programming solutions for AV control systems, including user interfaces, automation, and integration with third-party devices.Develop and implement programming code using AV system programming languages (e.g., Crestron SIMPL, AMX NetLinx, Extron GlobalScript, AMX systems).Integrate AV control systems with audio, video, and other AV equipment to create seamless and intuitive user experiences.Conduct system testing and debugging to ensure proper functionality and performance of programmed solutions.Coordinate with AV technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during integration and testing.Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and document resolution and support as needed in addition to installing, configuring, and updating equipment and software as needed.planning, advising on live AV related events as well as operating the master controls of the AV systems during such events. Design and deliver Audio Video systems according to the agreed specifications and approved standards.Interpret Project specifications, Schematic & Shop drawings, Bill of Quantities and incorporate the same into design and delivery of the AV systems.Able to conduct site surveys to evaluate site condition and recommend changes to the client as required for their specific design.Compile information, document and present findings to the client as required for the functional Audio-Visual systems scope.Provide support for installation, testing, commissioning, and training of Audio video system to the projects team/client as required.Experienced in Video Wall/LED wall/VC systems installation, testing commissioning.Experienced in developing systems integration program for Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC and Biamp systems.Competence with video conference and broadcasting systemsDesign and develop graphic user interface on control systems touch panelsFamiliar with DSP design and configuration like Biamp and QSC.Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct ManagerEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX Certified Expert) are desirable.Work Experience:Minimum of 8 years of Crestron (both SIMPL and SIMPL+) & AMX control system programming experience.Minimum of 3 years using Common Programming Languages such as C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, Typescript, Lua, etc.Minimum of 3 years configuration DSP systems such as Biamp ,Bose and QSC.Experience with control systems, videoconferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration.Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems.Familiar with lighting control systems programmingKnowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, AV over IP systems, VLANs, and VPN.Applicant must have experience with interface (GUI) design and graphics applications. Strong Communication, Co ordination and technical interpersonal skills.
