Job Title: AV Programmer

Location: Greensboro, NCPosition Type: Full-time, Direct HireSalary Range: $87-110,000 (negotiable based on experience)Summary:Verigent's client is seeking an experienced AV Programmer to design, develop, program, and support commercial audio/visual systems.

This role will work closely with engineering, sales, project management, installation teams, and customers to deliver reliable, customized AV solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program commercial AV and control systems.
• Develop reusable device and system modules for standardized solutions.
• Program and configure Crestron and AMX control systems.
• Create custom user interfaces for AV control systems based on customer requirements.
• Load, test, troubleshoot, and modify control system programs onsite.
• Update control system software and firmware as needed.
• Provide remote and phone-based technical support for control systems and programming issues.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Research emerging AV technologies and develop new programming modules and methodologies.
• Develop and execute system testing and acceptance test plans both onsite and in-house.
• Support installation teams with technical guidance during system deployment and implementation.
• Participate in customer meetings, sales presentations, conference calls, and solution development activities.
• Assist with project schedules, proposals, documentation, and other project deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, logistics, finance, and service teams to successfully deliver projects.
• Maintain current knowledge of AV, telecommunications, unified communications, and control-system technologies.
• Follow established engineering processes and CAD standards to ensure consistency and usability of technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues and project teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or 8-10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with AMX and/or Crestron programming languages.
• Experience designing and programming commercial AV control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting AV control systems in the field.
• Strong understanding of AV and unified communications technologies.
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
