AV Programming / Commissioning Engineer 3Location: Tysons, VATravel: Up to 50%, including international travelClearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceWe’re looking for an experienced AV Programming / Commissioning Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering complex audiovisual and integrated technology systems for mission-critical environments.This is a hands-on technical role combining AV programming, systems integration, commissioning, troubleshooting and client-facing technical leadership. You’ll work across complex conference rooms, operations centers, divisible spaces, video walls, VTC environments and AV-over-IP systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAV Programming & IntegrationDevelop and deploy Crestron control systems, touch panels and control applicationsDevelop and integrate C#/.NET applications and third-party control modulesIntegrate systems using protocols including SSH, RESTful APIs and RS232Configure AV-over-IP platforms including Crestron DM-NVX and DanteDesign system configuration frameworks and technical documentationAV Commissioning & TestingCommission and troubleshoot integrated AV systems from configuration through final acceptanceConfigure, calibrate and tune microphones, speakers and DSP systemsCommission video walls, VTC systems, Microsoft Teams and Cisco solutionsConfigure AV network switches and troubleshoot network-related issuesPerform control-system testing, identify bugs and drive issues through resolutionTechnical Leadership & Client SupportConduct peer reviews of system designs, control programs and touch panelsDevelop post-installation documentation and operational materialsDeliver on-site user and administrator trainingCommunicate project status, technical risks and development progress to project managers, engineering leadership and clientsWork directly with senior stakeholders and executive-level customersKey RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ yearsStrong experience programming and deploying Crestron control systemsExperience with conference rooms, operations centers and divisible roomsStrong audio commissioning experience, including DSP, microphones and speakersExperience with Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx and AV-over-IPExperience with Crestron DM-NVX and/or DanteExperience developing C#/.NET applicationsExperience integrating third-party systems using industry-standard communication protocolsCrestron, Biamp and/or QSC certifications requiredStrong troubleshooting, communication and client-facing skillsAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teamsWillingness to travel up to 50%, including internationallyU.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance requiredWhat’s OfferedCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefitsMedical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and maternity leaveTuition reimbursementProfessional and technical trainingLeadership development opportunitiesExposure to complex, high-profile mission-critical technology projectsIf you're an experienced AV programmer/commissioning engineer looking for a technically challenging role with significant responsibility, we'd like to hear from you.Feel free to reach out directly737 363 3853Louis.thorpe@clear-er.com
