AV Senior Lead Technician & Commissioning

IM Solutions is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Senior Lead Technician & Commissioning Technician to lead the installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and successful turnover of sophisticated audiovisual and technology systems.This position is ideal for a highly skilled AV professional who can confidently lead a field installation team, interpret technical drawings and system designs, troubleshoot complex AV systems, and ensure every system is installed, programmed, tested, documented, and operating to IM Solutions’ standards.The Senior Lead Technician serves as a key field leader and technical resource, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Programmers, clients, subcontractors, and other members of the IM Solutions team.Reports to: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise AV installation teams on commercial, government, corporate and educational technology projects.Serve as the primary field technical lead and provide direction to technicians and subcontractors.Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to fully understand project scope of work and resolve any site challengesEnsure adherence to project specifications, wiring diagrams and technical documentationConfigure and/or program control systems, digital signal processors (DSPs), audio mixers and any other specialty devices used in the system designInstall and maintain AV/IT systems including racks, display devices, projectors, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakersExercise critical thinking for systems commissioning to include final system testing, calibration, and quality assurance checksTroubleshoot and resolve performance issues in AV/IT system configurationsProvide training and documentation to end-users for system operationMaintain redline documents, and system configuration to be updated for final customer deliverables packageRequired Qualifications:Strong organizational and leadership skills managing team of 5 or more people10+ years of AV installation experience and construction methodology3-5 years of AV commissioning and system testing experienceStrong understanding of commercial AV systemsHigh level of experience with AV signal processing, DSP systems, control systems, networking, system testing and troubleshootingCTS, CTS-I or equivalent certification preferredExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly understand, clarify, and manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.IM Solutions Core Values AlignmentCore values are the most important aspects of the IM Solutions culture.Life-Long Learning - Personal commitment in learning inspires continual growthCollaborative Mindset - Building success together through teamwork with our customers and community.Positivity - Positive thinking inspires purposeful actions and positive resultsSolutionist - Passionate and reliable problem solving is in our DNACommunication - Respectful, honest and proactive communication builds trust and strengthens alignmentIf your personal core values align with ours, you can find success at IM Solutions.Physical DemandsAbility to drive a company provided fleet vehicle.Ability to load and unload equipment weighing a minimum of 35 pounds.Ability to regularly climb, descend, and work from ladders up to heights of 25 feetAbility to work with safety harness in bucket or boom lift (Cert training will be provided)The physical demands of this position are those that are necessary to meet the responsibilities and essential functions of this position.
