AV Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Software Engineer to support our Audio Visual Services division. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and able to work effectively in a team environment. This role plays a key part in designing the software for control systems and DSPs for largescale commercial AV integration projects. This role will be primarily remote, but may require in-office presence up to a few times per year.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing a coding framework that will streamline and unify our evolving processesCoding control system processors, building and coding UI layouts, and building DSP filesLoading files, testing functionality, and working with an engineer to close-out projectsTroubleshooting software challenges that arise for the Service and Operations teamsRespecting of diverse points-of-view, open to direction, and self-motivatedStriving for an environment in which inclusiveness drives productivity and quality resultsProgramming will be required on both traditional AV switching designed systems as well as AVoIP designed systemsProgramming Framework will be developed in conjunction with management and other programming members of the AV teamSkillsMultiple years of experience with coding, UI building, and DSP development in commercial environmentsProficient in Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and QSC software and hardwareAbility to multitask with strong computer, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to read & understand architectural drawings and line diagramsStrong experience working closely with teammates to accomplish common goalsStrong experience with audiovisual network protocols (Dante, AVB, NDI, AVoIP, etc.)Strong experience with digital video/audio transmission and protocolsIndustry certifications are a plus: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, Shure, Polycom, Cisco, AVIXA etc.
