At Rixos Phu Quoc, we value passion, professionalism, and collaboration, empowering our colleagues to grow and thrive in a culture built on excellence in hospitality.Job DescriptionMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperations & Technical SupportEnsure all sound and lighting (S&L) equipment is clean, properly maintained, and fully operationalSet up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, lighting consoles, digital and analog sound mixers, CD players, sound processors, and projection systemsProvide live technical support and troubleshooting during events, shows, and meetingsManage sound checks, stage setups, and technical riders for bands, singers, and performersTeam SupervisionSupervise daily operations of the AV team and ensure tasks are completed efficientlyAssign duties, monitor performance, and prepare weekly shift schedules for the Sound & Lighting sub-departmentTrain AV technicians on proper equipment usage, safety procedures, and maintenance standardsEvent & Entertainment CoordinationWork closely with event organizers, Entertainment, and Recreation teams to understand technical requirementsPlan and coordinate AV setups for events, meetings, and evening showsEnsure AV delivery aligns with show concepts, timings, and quality standardsEquipment & Inventory ManagementTake full responsibility for Sound & Lighting equipmentMaintain accurate inventory records and maintenance schedulesManage truss construction, DMX addressing, lighting desks, splitters, wireless microphone frequencies, and show programmingAdministration & CompliancePrepare and manage the AV department budgetMaintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and operationsDevelop, implement, and enforce AV department policies and proceduresStay updated with new AV technologies and introduce improvements where applicableQualificationsEducation:Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Audio-Visual, or related technical fieldExperience:Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar AV supervisory or senior technician roleLanguage:Good communication skills in EnglishSincerity & TransparencyAct with professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityUse sound judgment in challenging situationsMaintain confidentiality and conduct business fairlyReliability & LoyaltyDeliver on commitments and work effectively both independently and as part of a teamMaintain a positive, approachable attitude toward guests and colleaguesSupport teamwork across all departmentsExcellence in HospitalityCommit to high service quality and strong operational performanceTake ownership of technical delivery and event successFollow Rixos Policies & Procedures at all timesQuality Management & InnovationContinuously seek improvement and innovationAvoid complacency and aim to exceed expectationsProvide constructive feedback and support team developmentAdditional InformationWhat We’re Looking ForA proactive leader with strong integrity and professionalismSomeone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environmentA team player who values collaboration and guest satisfactionA professional committed to continuous improvement and service excellence
