Spanning 275,000 square metres, the very best of indulgence, relaxation, and adventure come together in an All-Inclusive experience like no other- all-encompassing, uncompromising, and unmatched.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and reliable AV Technician to support the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, events, and other hotel activities.The AV Technician will ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and ready to deliver a high-quality experience for guests and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment, including projectors, displays, televisions, cameras, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems. Set up and operate AV equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, trainings, and events. Perform equipment testing, inspections, repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting. Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly and safely before events. Provide professional and efficient technical support to guests, clients, and event organizers. Safely transport, store, and handle AV equipment, cables, and accessories. Maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment, cables, and accessories. Ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained after each event. Respond quickly to technical issues during events and provide effective solutions. Coordinate with the Events & Entertainment team to ensure smooth event operations. Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the relevant supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe technical work area. Follow hotel policies, procedures, OSM standards, and health and safety requirements. Attend required technical and skills training. Assist with other duties and hotel activities as required. QualificationsPrevious experience as an AV Technician, preferably in a hotel, resort, events venue, or hospitality environment. Good knowledge of audio-visual equipment, sound systems, lighting, projectors, displays, microphones, and video conferencing systems. Ability to troubleshoot basic technical and AV issues. Good understanding of cables, connectors, signal flow, and AV setup. Strong organizational and inventory management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet event deadlines. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during events as required. Good command of English is preferred. Relevant technical qualification or certification is an advantage. Additional InformationHealth, Safety & QualityFollow all hotel health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Operate, transport, and store AV equipment safely. Report technical faults, damaged equipment, and potential hazards immediately. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety standards. Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Support the hotel's commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Follow Rixos policies, procedures, and Operational Standards Manual (OSM).
