Joining TOPAZ offers opportunities to work with modern telecom technologies and contribute to mission-critical communication systems.Role Description This full-time, on-site role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and focuses on Avaya Aura unified communications engineering. The Avaya UC Engineer will install, configure, and maintain Avaya Aura platforms and related UC components, ensuring system stability, performance, and security. Daily activities include monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and applying updates, patches, and configuration changes. The role involves supporting deployments, integrations, and upgrades, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with project teams to implement customer solutions. The engineer will also interact with clients to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to service level agreements.Qualifications 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Avaya Aura platforms (e.g., Communication Manager, Session Manager, System Manager) in enterprise environments.Strong understanding of unified communications concepts, VoIP, SIP, trunking, and telephony protocols.Experience with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Avaya UC and voice solutions.Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, firewalls) and their impact on voice and UC performance.Ability to analyze logs, perform diagnostics, and apply structured problem-solving to resolve incidents and service requests.Knowledge of high-availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery practices for UC systems.Clear, professional communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Ability to work on-site, manage priorities, and handle multiple projects or tickets in a fast-paced environment.Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist, Avaya Certified Support Specialist, or similar) are an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
