★Avionics Engineer | Flying Car Development Japanese: Business Level Required (N3 OK)◆ Location: Fukushima / Saitama◆ Flextime System◆ In-house Products/Services◆ Annual salary: 4.8 million yen - 10 million yen-------------【About the company】-------------The company views the "flying car" not merely as a technological innovation, but as a new social infrastructure that bridges the physical distance between rural and urban areas. When an era arrives where anyone can travel by air, society will be liberated from the stress of traffic congestion while gaining unprecedentedly seamless access to hospitals, schools, and workplaces. This vision began with a dream envisioned by the founder. Following its establishment in 2018, the company participated in "GoFly"—an international competition where global engineers competed—and achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the sole recipient of the Disruptor Award. Since then, the company has continued to challenge the boundaries of global flying car development.Minamisoma City in Fukushima Prefecture was chosen as the stage to support this ambition. Shortly after founding, when a local resident asked, "Will you do this in Fukushima?", the company answered "Yes" without hesitation. The hopes of the local community remain the primary driving force today.Currently, the next-generation aircraft being developed in the skies of Fukushima is a highly practical flying car capable of taking off and landing in minimal space. What this aircraft will realize is a new everyday reality that transcends the barriers between rural and urban regions. For instance, if a two-hour drive could be reduced to a mere 15-minute flight—both how people live and how they work will be fundamentally transformed.-------------【 Job Description】-------------【Business Overview】The company manufactures, sells, and maintains all-electric flying cars capable of traveling 100 km in 30 minutes.Priced at 200 million JPY, the two-seater flying car offers a novel mode of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) transport. Engineered specifically for Japan’s unique environment, it provides reliable transportation tailored for workers and healthcare professionals operating in remote, coastal, offshore, and mountainous regions. The company aims to establish a future where daily aerial mobility is accessible to all, ensuring that no region across Japan is left behind.【Pragmatic Business Strategy】The company establishes its business by first targeting markets with proven, immediate demand. While many flying car ventures attempt to secure passenger certification—an exceptionally difficult regulatory hurdle with almost no global precedent—tetra starts in the U.S. personal aviation market where such certification is not yet required. This business model avoids regulatory bottlenecks and enables rapid revenue generation.Building on the track record of its initial aircraft, the company is currently developing a two-seater commercial model. By first generating stable revenue in the U.S. market, the company plans to expand this proven track record into Japan. In addition to hardware sales, the business framework generates recurring revenue through ongoing maintenance and inspection services. The development is backed by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Reconstruction Agency, with industry veterans from HondaJet, MRJ, and the FAA serving as strategic advisors.Beyond this point, there are no precedents. No one in the world yet has the answer to how to successfully operate a passenger aircraft in high-wind conditions. For this reason, elite engineers set aside titles and past assumptions to engage in intense, rigorous debate over every single design decision. The company welcomes individuals who are genuinely thrilled by the challenge of using their technical expertise to tackle unsolved problems and build an aircraft no one has ever accomplished before.【Responsibilities】Lead the engineering development of the aircraft's avionics domain.・Provide technical direction and engineering leadership for development projects encompassing eVTOL power distribution systems, propulsion systems, and related architecture.・Hands-on execution of engineering tasks as needed, including system design, architecture definition, and test equipment/facility setup.・Partner with Product Managers and other Lead Engineers to drive the overall aircraft development program.・Rapidly deliver high-performance, ultra-reliable aircraft-grade avionics systems at an industry-leading speed.Responsible for the design and development of the following airborne systems:■Flight Controller: Microcontrollers dedicated to flight control.■Flight Management Computer (FMC): Central processing computers for flight management.■Electronic Control Unit (ECU): Microcontrollers for drive system / powertrain control.■Embedded Software: Low-level and real-time embedded software systems.■Communication Systems: Airborne and ground-to-air communication architectures.■Sensor Units & Avionics Instrumentation: Integration of various sensors (GPS, airspeed sensors, IMU, etc.).-------------【 Requirements】-------------【Hardware Experience】■ 1+ years of experience in the development or handling of avionics (GPS-based devices, etc.).【Embedded Control Experience】■ 1+ years of experience implementing embedded software for control systems (C/C++, MATLAB/SIMULINK).【Ideal Applicants】■Possesses a relentless drive to personally build and launch novel aircraft that no one in the world has ever created before.■Rigorously verifies every single design decision and meticulously executes software/hardware development to ensure absolute system reliability.■Communicates openly and authentically regardless of title or hierarchy, actively engaging in hands-on work toward the shared objective of achieving successful flight.*Immensely passionate about solving complex flight challenges—welcoming true, core engineers who cannot rest until they thoroughly figure out "how to make it fly."--------------------------------------------------■Overtime Pay SystemFixed Overtime Allowance: Included from ¥50,300/month (covers 20 hours of fixed overtime per month).
