With more than 100 team members, ENATA is committed to being a globally competitive, world-class technology leader.Role Description The Avionics Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing avionics systems and components on aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. Daily activities include interpreting technical documentation and wiring diagrams, performing functional tests, troubleshooting system faults, and ensuring all work complies with safety, regulatory, and company standards. The Avionics Technician collaborates closely with engineering, maintenance, and flight operations teams to support development projects and operational fleets. The role also involves documenting maintenance actions, updating records, and contributing to continuous improvement of procedures and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesFuel System IntegrationInstall and secure fuel tanks, fuel lines, valves, pumps, and filtration systems.Ensure proper routing, leak-proof connections, and pressure integrity.Conduct fuel system leak tests and safety checks.Apply fuel-resistant sealing and insulation materials where required.Landing Gear, Wheels & Brake SystemsAssemble and install landing gear systems (fixed/retractable).Fit wheels, axles, bearings, and suspension components.Install and adjust brake systems (mechanical or hydraulic).Perform alignment, load testing, and braking functionality checks. Propulsion & Mechanical SystemsInstall engines or electric propulsion units, mounts, and vibration dampers.Align propulsion systems and ensure proper integration with airframe.Support installation of exhaust systems and heat shielding where required.Thermal & Heat Insulation SystemsApply and install heat insulation materials around critical components (engine, electronics, fuel systems).Ensure thermal protection for wiring, controllers, and sensitive avionics.Verify insulation performance under operational conditions. Avionics & Flight Control SystemsInstall and connect flight controllers, sensors, GPS modules, and communication systems.Perform wiring, soldering, and harness routing.Configure and calibrate avionics systems based on specifications. Catapult Launch System IntegrationAssemble and install catapult launch interfaces and structural supports.Ensure UAV compatibility with launch system mechanisms.Perform launch system alignment and safety checks.Support ground testing and simulated launch operations.Testing & TroubleshootingConduct functional, mechanical, and electrical testing of UAV systems.Identify faults and perform troubleshooting on integrated systems.Support ground tests, taxi tests, and pre-flight inspections.Quality Assurance & DocumentationFollow SOPs, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.Support FAI (First Article Inspection) and quality audits.Record assembly logs, test reports, and non-conformance reports.Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.Tools, Equipment & HSEUse precision tools, torque wrenches, testing equipment, and jigs.Ensure proper tool calibration and maintenance.Follow HSE procedures, especially when handling fuel and composite materials.Maintain 5S standards in the workspace.
