1. About your new employerFast Hazard is a small start-up/scale-up based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Since climate change is happening, we have to be prepared for natural hazards. We focus on building climate hazard software. This way we can gain insights in the consequences of hazard, and find ways to mitigate risks. So far, we’ve built a flood simulation tool, but we’re currently expanding into other types of climate hazards. Our daily tasks involve both software development and executing projects; in the public domain through consortia, or in the private domain. We work with a wide range of clients from all over the world, and there’s room for R&D.We are a young dynamic company with lots of freedom. At the moment we are with four people. Communication is swift and we are not bound by big corporate regulations. Employees can bring in ideas of their own and we value that everyone feels comfortable in the team. We don’t want to push people to or beyond their limits. A healthy work-life balance is a must for a healthy organisation. Also we have the relaxing habbit of playing Mario Kart during the lunch breaks! The only thing we miss at the moment is you!2. Your jobWe have a position open in Marketing & Sales. We’ve developed flood modelling software, including FastFlood, which is now market-ready. It’s time to set up a B2B marketing & sales strategy, and execute it. That’s what you’ll be doing. You’ll construct a go-to-market strategy. This will include- A thorough market survey about the value proposition of FastFlood- Define the buyer persona- Describe target groups and divide it in different segments- Identify the early adopters- Explore effective channels to reach early adopters Based on the GTM strategy you will also work on a sales strategy. You will set up the structure of the B2B funnel and will walk through it. You will identify the marketing materials and actions that are needed to create high quality leads. You will present to the Fast Hazard team what you think that needs to be done and we will discuss together who of the team will execute those actions. You will set up appointments with potential users and arrange in-house demos across the Netherlands and also internationally. You draw a clear distinction between FastFlood and the alternatives on the market. You are convincing and will be able to close the deal in the end. You’ll represent Fast Hazard at various events, and since we operate in an international market, you’re not afraid to look beyond borders; great if you enjoy traveling! Travels will be discussed up in front with you. Most travels are incidental for specific customers or conferences. You should have affinity with climate resilience and are willing to become familiar with software used for climate risk assessments. You should also be able to understand the basic principles of hydrology and can grasp how climate hazard maps are constructed. Your are commercially strong, excellent in English, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to undertake new endeavors.3. Employment conditionsSome of our employment conditions are:- 30 holiday days per year;- Hybrid working is possible;- 24 to 40 hours a week;- Freedom in selection of laptop (Apple or Windows);- Fast Hazard contributes for 50% of the pension of the employee;- Our office in Apeldoorn is next to a train station;- If supplies are needed at the office according to you, we are easily convinced;- Salary €3300 - €5300 based on experience. 4.
